Journey through the Wilderness

This is a portion of a love letter I received from the LORD on my 40th spiritual birthday. I wanted to share it knowing that Jesus wants to affirm His love to His other daughters. May this lift you up and shine the light on your great worth in the Father's eyes because of who you are in Christ Jesus by His redeeming blood.  1/13/2020 Daughter, It is with great joy that I look upon you and applaud the desire to seek Me daily. I am pleased by your willingness to come and know Me, fully spending time in the Manna from heaven. I love you more than you can possibly imagine. You desire to please and be found worthy but I say, “You already are!!” You were worthy when I redeemed you by My blood. January 2020 Daughter, Do you see? Do you perceive? I AM doing a new thing! It is time for you to rise up to your calling I gave you. I have called and chosen you for such a time as this. Now is not the time to shrink back but to be bold and of single purpose for My kingdom. You are to carry My light and truth into this dark world and bring glory to My Holy name. You have been chosen for such a time as this just as Esther was put in the royal palace to save her people through her obedient fasting and being bold to go into the king’s presence when she was not summoned. I desire My people to rise up like Esther and be bold. Do not fear the darkness. Do not fear evil people. Only fear Me, the LORD Almighty who is King of all things in heaven and earth. I often walk my dog, Jules over on the high school field where I let her off the leash so she can run and burn off energy. I can usually trust her to stay in close proximity to me so I can get her when it's time to leave. I have been walking Jules at the high school for the last couple of years and it's become a very familiar place to her. She instinctively runs to the same groundhog hole hoping to find one or along the treeline hunting for animals. Today, in her excitement she kept getting farther and farther away from me. Confidence to run off on her own is not typical behavior  for her because she was a rescue dog who has always been a little skittish. It wasn't long before I completely lost sight of her and didn't know where she had gone. I anxiously called for her and whistled repeatedly waiting for her to respond. I have been watching a stink bug that got inside my bird feeder go round and round the inside of it trapped inside...so it thinks. There are several openings for it to escape but it just stays at the top of the feeder circling around it. It may just end up dying in there! It caused me to consider how we do the same thing in our lives. We get stuck going round and round in circles not accomplishing anything, not having vi ctory and certainly not living in the freedom that Jesus Christ came to this earth to give us! The freedom is right there in front of us but we don’t see it because we are not letting the Holy Spirit guide us to it. We get stuck in wrong patterns of thinking. We live by our own preconceived ideas or false teaching we’ve heard. But we have to surrender everything we know and understood to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and be transformed and renewed by the word of God with the Holy Spirit’s instruction. THE CALL  Matthew 9:9  "As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," me He told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him."  Matthew had one of the best paying jobs in Israel as a tax collector but it did cost him his reputation to be wealthy. Those who collected taxes for Rome were considered traitors by the Jews. Rome had been oppressing the nation of Israel for a long time and they ruthlessly took whatever they wanted from the people and then some! So you can imagine how much people like Matthew were despised. Maybe for this very reason, Matthew was more inclined to get up and leave it all behind to follow Jesus when He called him. Matthew had a lot of money but probably very few friends other than fellow tax collectors. He was hated by many and now this man, Jesus who had quickly gained a reputation as a teacher, prophet and miracle worker throughout the land had noticed him! Not only notice

Doubting Thomas is a familiar moniker among Christians. Many of us have read about this disciple in the Gospel of John and his lack of faith after Jesus was resurrected from the grave. Despite the testimony of the two women,  Mary Magdalene and the other Mary who went to His tomb and the disciples who had been present when Jesus came to them in Galilee and saw Him in the flesh, Thomas remarked, " Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe." (John 20:24-25) Thomas made a choice not to believe. Instead, he determined to have a conditional belief, based not just on seeing Jesus, but touching Him. Thomas doubted the reality of the risen Savior. The dictionary defines doubt as, " a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction." However, it was not only Thomas among the disciples who doubted, Mark's account says, that none of the disciples prior to Jesu
